Inauguration of Zonal Geology & Mining Office, Lungei

In pursuance of Government of Mizoram Notification No.A.11013/5/2017-C&I (G&M) Dt. 13th February, 2023, Dr. R. Lalthangliana, the Hon’ble Minister, Commerce & Industries Department (Directorate of Geology & Mining) inaugurated Zonal Geology & Mining Office, Lunglei on 2nd September, 2023 (Saturday). This newly established Zonal Office is set up at the building premises of District Industrial Centre (DIC) Office, Lunglei. 

The Zonal Geology & Mining Office, Lunglei will have jurisdiction over Lunglei, Siaha, Lawngtlai & Hnahthial Districts with regards to Minor Mineral Concession, Investigation, Development & Monitoring as well as on matters relating to Geo-technical Investigations of foundations like building, roads, bridges, etc. including Landslide Engineering & Disaster.

Recruitment for Officers and Staff for this new Zonal Office is under active consideration.
